Rethinking synchronous course design: The role of flipped and blended courses

As the pandemic began, many of us quickly pivoted to a synchronous online course model. This model has its roots in the early course design of distance learning. In this session, we will review the established frameworks for flipped, blended, and online synchronous course design. By looking at these frameworks, we can leverage the best of synchronous and asynchronous course elements to develop quality courses that allow us to navigate the pandemic and beyond.
