Why Movies Move Us – The Impact That Video and Storytelling has on Student Engagement

Scott will talk about his experience at American Express including how his research led him to develop a strategy to use movie clips to share his key messages, increase retention of those messages and influence behavior.

He will also share his journey through Hollywood and how MovieComm became the first company, in the history of the major movie studios, to gain legal access to their clip libraries to help today’s leaders and educators engage their employees and students.

Finally, he will walk everybody through a brief demonstration of MovieComm’s new and innovative movie clip platform.  

MovieComm Founder, CEO and TED Talk speaker, Scott DiGiammarino, spent 25 years as an award winning senior executive at American Express. Part of his winning strategy was to use short movie clips as a way of engaging and motivating his employees and trainees. Multiple consulting firms claimed that part of Scott’s secret sauce was his use of storytelling that was supported by his iconic movie clips.
