Physically separate, but personally connected: Finding ways to bridge the distance in distance learning

Students feel more of a connection to their classroom community when they feel valued as individuals. This can be reached by automating what is possible, and having strategic ways to connect with students, without being overwhelmed. The presentation will include tips for both small and large enrollment classes, as well as examples of how to connect with students such as short videos, email and messaging options, and interacting on discussion boards.
