Down the Rabbit Hole of ADA Compliance

McLennan Community College’s Perkins Leadership Grant Project on ADA Compliance, a framework for training faculty and staff, was chosen as a Program of Excellence this year by THECB.   Come see an overview of the final product of the project, and have a discussion about questions you should be asking when developing an accessibility strategy.

Richard Leslie serves as the Coordinator, Teaching and Learning at McLennan Community College.  He has taught numerous professional development workshops at MCC and given presentations on ADA compliance and Universal Design at TxAHEAD, TACTE and TxDLA conferences. For the last three years, he has served as Project Director for MCC’s Perkins Leadership Grant on ADA Compliance.

Kayla Willis is an Instructional Designer at McLennan Community College. Her strengths and interests include using the backwards design model, collaborative and cooperative learning, and reflective thinking. Kayla is currently a member on MCCs Classroom Information Resources committee, researching ways to mitigate the high cost of classroom resources.
