Design Considerations for Large-Enrollment Online Courses

Many colleges and universities have been considering the implementation of large-enrollment online courses to meet the online education demands. For course designers and instructors, these large-enrollment courses can present certain challenges. Join our session to better understand the challenges and to explore possible strategies for addressing them.

Presently, Christine Paige works for SUNY Empire State College as the Director for Instructional Design. She strategically directs College-wide instructional design policy and procedures to ensure courses are current and inline with current research on best practices for online learning.

Alena Rodick is an Interim Assistant Director of Instructional Design at SUNY Empire State College. She is also an adjunct faculty teaching an undergraduate course for a small local college. She holds BS degree in Business Administration from SUNY Albany and MS degree in Information Design and Technology from SUNYIT, and currently pursuing another MS degree in Data Analytics.
